The week 1 collection of Rs. 674.17 crore was the highest ever recorded for a Hindi film.The film opened to a thunderous Rs. 90 crore on day 1. Week 2 saw the film rake in Rs. 263.65 crore despite a natural 61% drop from its record-breaking first week. It was during week 2 that ‘Dhurandhar 2’ surpassed the entire lifetime collection of the original ‘Dhurandhar’ of Rs. 840.20 crore in just 11 days. The sequel had, in less than a fortnight, raced past its own predecessor. Week 3 collection of Rs. 110.60 crore saw the film became the first Hindi film in history to cross Rs. 1,000 crore in India net collections.

Following the encouraging 35.6% growth recorded on Tuesday, day 27, Wednesday which marked day 28 brought the expected mid-week correction. ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ collected a net of Rs. 4.05 crore across 10,192 shows on its fourth Wednesday representing a 42.6% drop from the previous day’s Rs. 7.05 crore.Day 28 pushed the total India net to Rs. 1,099.72 crore and India gross to Rs. 1,316.45 crore. Overseas, the film added Rs. 0.50 crore on day 28, taking its total overseas gross to Rs. 416.75 crore. The combined worldwide gross stood at Rs. 1,733.20 crore by the end of day 28 which is a staggering figure for any Bollywood film competing against an ongoing IPL season.

As of its 29th day in theaters, ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ continues its steady run with 8,654 shows scheduled nationwide. Today’s live tracking saw the film adding Rs. 3.40 crore to its tally. This pushes the film’s total domestic net earnings to Rs. 1,103.12 crore, while the total India gross has reached Rs. 1,320.49 crore. The film’s earnings saw a 16% decline, bringing in Rs. 3.40 crore compared to the Rs. 4.05 crore collected the previous day.
