Trisha Krishnan made headlines on Sunday, May 10, when she attended the swearing-in ceremony of actor-turned-politician Vijay, who was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium following his party’s landslide win in the 2026 state elections. However, the event turned into chaos while she was leaving the venue.

Trisha Krishnan arrived at the venue accompanied by her mother, Uma Krishnan, and was seen closely witnessing the historic oath-taking alongside Vijay’s family members and several prominent guests. Vijay’s elevation to the state’s top post marks a remarkable shift from superstar to statesman, and Trisha’s presence at the ceremony quickly became a talking point on social media.The real test of Trisha’s composure came after the event. As she exited the stadium, she was surrounded by a large crowd of reporters and fans, all eager for her reaction to Vijay’s swearing-in. She wore a teal and gold saree paired with a cream blouse featuring gold embroidery, accessorising with jasmine flowers, a diamond jewellery set, and jewellery adorned with red stones. Her hair was styled in a neat bun, and her subtle makeup, combined with a visible radiance, rounded off the look beautifully.

On the film front, Trisha is set to appear next in ‘Karuppu’, starring Suriya. Directed by R J Balaji, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual film is set to release in cinemas on May 14, 2026. Meanwhile, Vijay’s much-awaited final film, ‘Jana Nayagan’, remains in limbo due to an ongoing certification dispute with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
