'Unmadham' FIRST look poster: Lijomol Jose and Kunchacko Boban team up for intense drama, set for August 7 release

The much-awaited Malayalam psychological thriller ‘Unmadham’ has confirmed its release date. The film, starring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose, and the makers also unveiled the first look poster, which has already created strong curiosity among fans. The title ‘Unmadham,’ which means “frenzy,” hints at a deep and intense story. With a clear release date now in place, the film has quickly become one of the most talked-about Malayalam releases of the year.

‘Unmadham marks Kiran Das‘ directorial debut

According to Variety India, ‘Unmadham’ will hit theatres on August 7, ahead of the Independence Day and Onam holidays. The movie is directed by Kiran Das, who is making his directorial debut after a successful run as an editor. He previously edited several award-winning films, and this is his first step as a director. The movie is penned by National Award-winning writer Shahi Kabir, who is famous for his intense, realistic stories. The movie has a great background, and ‘Unmadham’ will surely be a great viewing experience.

About ‘Umadham’

‘Unmadham,’ on the other hand, tells the tale of a policeman whose home life is already being stretched to a breaking point. Things take a darker turn when he reopens an old case that may have supernatural elements. As he digs deeper, his mental state begins to change, and the line between reality and illusion starts to blur. Speaking about his role, Kunchacko Boban said the character required both emotional depth and control. ‘Unmadham’ has a score by Mujeeb Majeed, and its cinematography is by Arjun Seth.
