Aamir Khan tears up watching Junaid Khan's acting, praises Sai Pallavi at Ek Din event: 'Best actress in our country today'

Aamir Khan was seen getting emotional at a special event for his upcoming production Ek Din in the city on Sunday. The actor attended the event along with his son Junaid Khan and co-star Sai Pallavi.As performances unfolded at the event, Aamir appeared visibly moved and was seen breaking down in tears. The emotional moment caught everyone’s attention, with the actor later also taking to the stage to croon a song from the film.During the event, Aamir didn’t hold back in praising Sai Pallavi, calling her “the best actress we have in our country today.”He also spoke about his son Junaid in a lighter vein, adding with a smile, “Junaid ne bhi acha khasa kaam kiya hai (Junaid has also done quite a good job).”

Ek Din is a romantic drama directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan, and Aparna Purohit under Aamir Khan Productions. The new trailer of the upcoming film ‘Ek Din’, which stars Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan in the lead, was unveiled on Thursday. The trailer promises a love story peppered with hope and magic. In the trailer, Junaid Khan portrays a shy and a different guy, who develops feelings for Sai Pallavi’s character, who is a cheerful and full-of-life girl.While they both work in the same office, Junaid struggles to gather the confidence to talk to her. However, a twist unfolds in Japan when Sai meets with an accident and suffers from Transient Global Amnesia (TGA), remembering only Junaid, who saved her life.The film marks Junaid Khan’s 2nd big screen outing after Loveyapa, and Sai Pallavi’s Bollywood debut. The film is set to release in theaters on May 1, 2026.On the work front, Aamir was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual successor in tone to Taare Zameen Par. The film marked his return to acting after a break following the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha.
