Govinda's manager clarifies he is not bankrupt: 'His house was mortgaged but debt paid off'

Govinda has been in the news lately with several specualtions around him. From him injuring himself with a gun to his marriage and finances, a lot has been reported about him. Now, his longtime manager Shashi Sinha has firmly dismissed the recent rumours surrounding the actor’s financial condition and married life, calling them completely unfounded. He said that despite not having a box office hit in years, Govinda continues to receive film offers from some of the biggest names in the industry and is set to announce a major project soon.Speculation about Govinda facing bankruptcy has been circulating on social media for months, intensifying after the actor was spotted taking a taxi to the airport. Addressing the chatter, Shashi clarified that the move had nothing to do with money troubles. “Govinda doesn’t just have one car, but many. This is baseless that he’s gone bankrupt and is begging around,” he said, adding that private vehicles were not allowed inside the airport premises at the time.

Sunita Ahuja’s Explosive Claims On Govinda Spark Fresh Debate Over Marriage And Rumours

The manager also reacted strongly to claims that Govinda has been performing at schools and private events due to financial distress. “This is his profession! That doesn’t mean he’s gone bankrupt,” he told ANI. He further added, “If he doesn’t take care of his family, who does? He still takes care of his wife and kids.”Shashi reiterated that Govinda remains in demand, not just for events and dance performances, but also for films. “I’m witness that he’s said no to work worth crores. It’s fine that he doesn’t like the script or something else, but he’s the first actor whose doesn’t have hits, but still has big producers and actors chasing him. That doesn’t mean he’s quit working. You’ll hear about something huge very soon,” he said.He also hinted at a possible announcement under Govinda’s home banner, Govinda Films International. Opening up about the only time the actor came close to financial strain, Shashi revealed it stemmed from Govinda’s generosity rather than mismanagement.“There was a time when he withdrew his FD, added some more funds to that sum, and helped other people with that. But that reached a point he had to mortgage his house. He attended events and danced everywhere to repay that loan very recently. We’ve never talked about it and he’s never asked someone for money. Who came to his rescue then? Ye sach hai ki ugte hue sooraj ko hi sab namaskar karte hain,” he said.Shashi also addressed ongoing rumours about trouble in Govinda’s marriage, especially after wife Sunita Ahuja had previously hinted at his alleged past affairs. Dismissing these claims, he said, “Govinda hasn’t married two-three times. These rumours are there because of the gharelu hawa. But you should ask Govinda or Sunita. There’s no truth there.”
