Celina Jaitly shared a heartfelt note for her close friend Preity Zinta after joining her in Dharamsala to cheer for Punjab Kings. The emotional post comes at a difficult time for Celina, days after Mumbai Police registered an FIR against her husband Peter Haag following her domestic violence allegations.Sharing photos from the match night, Celina described Preity as one of the “biggest lights” in her life and praised the actor’s strength, kindness and unwavering support.

‘One of the biggest lights in my life’

In her emotional post, Celina Jaitly wrote, “In my darkest times, one of the biggest lights in my life is my darling, sweetheart, the one and only queen, Preity Zinta. The whole world knows how stunning she is, what a phenomenal actor she is, but her heart is every bit as stunning and as phenomenal as she is on the outside.”Calling Preity the “queen who owns the kings”, Celina praised her journey in cinema and sports.“Preity… the only queen who ‘owns’ the kings. The Punjab kings… a woman who has made her mark not just in cinema, not just in sports, but in the hearts of millions.”The actress also shared how proud she felt cheering for Punjab Kings alongside Preity.“I felt so proud standing by her last night, cheering for her incredible spirit, her passion, and her love for her team, the Punjab Kings.”Celina also mentioned spending time with Pratibha Ranta, music duo Sajid–Wajid, Preity’s husband Gene Goodenough and Col Deepanker Zinta during the outing.Ending the note on a cheerful note, she wrote, “Sports is all about winning, sometimes losing… but that’s why we call it a game. And this game, we enjoyed it the best. Chakde Phatte .. team Punjab Kings.”

Celina Jaitly’s post comes amid legal battle with husband Peter Haag

The emotional tribute comes amid an ongoing legal battle involving Celina Jaitly and her husband Peter Haag.Recently, Mumbai Police registered an FIR against Peter Haag following allegations of domestic violence made by the actress. According to officials, the FIR was filed under Sections 85, 115(2), 351(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. The matter is also connected to proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.The development came days after Celina shared an emotional video of herself visiting her son’s grave amid the legal battle.Mumbai Police have also reportedly issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Peter Haag due to alleged non-cooperation in the investigation. So far, neither Peter nor his legal team has publicly responded to the allegations. For the unversed, Celina Jaitly married Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier Peter Haag in 2010. The couple welcomed twin boys in 2012. In 2017, they were blessed with another set of twins, but tragically lost one of the babies due to a heart condition.In November 2025, Celina reportedly filed a case against Peter under the Domestic Violence Act, alleging prolonged domestic abuse.
