The animated film ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ made history at the 98th Academy Awards, with its hit track ‘Golden’ winning the Oscar for Best Original Song, becoming the first K-pop song ever to take home the award.This was the second win for the film, which also took home the Best Animated Feature. Directed by Korean-Canadian filmmaker Maggie Kang, the song and the film was a favourite to win the Oscar after sweeping all the awards in the two categories all award season, beginning with the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice.
