Ritesh Deshmukh starrer ‘Raja Shivaji’ is receiving thumbs up and is in lots of praise. Well, the film which hit theatres on May 1, 2026 has not only stolen attention for its storyline and cast but also added a touch with its costumes.

Amid the buzz around Raja Shivaji, all eyes were on the intricate parijat nath worn by Genelia Deshmukh for her role as Maharani Saibai in the film. Did you know that the jewelry brand’s Instagram page said that this nath was designed and delivered within 24 hours?
“So when the team came to us, the nath had one job, to be that flower,” the brand noted.Further mentioning how Raja Shivaji’s team reached out to them, they stated, “A photo on WhatsApp. The parijat growing out of the Earth, petal still wet. ‘You think designing a nath like this is a possibility?’ We said yes before we even finished reading it.”The team further added, “This is the kind of work that reminds us so much of our love for India’s craft, history, and culture. A small nath that holds so much meaning for Genelia, her character, and this periodic movie. A flower that lasts only a night, made to last forever in the form of jewellery.”“Small enough to feel personal, detailed enough to hold its own on screen,” the statement read.

This historical action drama is inspired by the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. Riteish Deshmukh who not only plays the role of Raja Shivaji in the film but has also co-written and directed it. Genelia Deshmukh has produced the film along with and is seen in the role as Maharani Saibai.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, and Salman Khan, among others in the key roles.
Box office collection
The Riteish Deshmukh starrer minted Rs 11.35 crore on its debut day in theatres. On Day 2, the movie went up to Rs 10.55 crore. Now, according to the Sacnilk report, the film is currently running across 1,785 shows and has collected Rs 1.75 crore as of now. The numbers are expected to increase as the day progresses. This has pushed the total India gross collections to Rs 28.13 crore, while the total India net earnings stand at Rs 23.65 crore.
