Anthony Edwards recently finds himself in a heightened legal battle off the pitch, with the latest twist adding more pressure to the situation. Two of his ex-girlfriends, who are the mothers of his two children, Ayesha Howard and Alexandria Desroches, have teamed up in court.According to court records obtained by TMZ, Ayesha Howard, who gave birth to his daughter, Aubri, in 2024, has filed new evidence against the Minnesota Timberwolves player in their child support legal battle. Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards’ other baby mama, Alexandria Desroches, who gave birth to his son Amir, has sworn to Ayesha that she will use her statement.
Child support dispute escalates as Anthony Edwards, Ayesha Howard, and Alexandria Desroches clash
According to TMZ, one of Anthony Edwards’ baby mothers is supporting his other baby mama in court. The purpose of submitting this evidence to a California court is to establish her right to receive payments of child support from Edwards.Ayesha is attempting to establish a child support obligation from Anthony through the California courts, while Anthony is seeking to establish this obligation through the Georgia courts. Given that Edwards resides in Georgia, he is objecting to litigation occurring in California on the basis that the proper venue for litigating any obligation to pay child support lies outside the state of California. To date, both the California and Georgia courts have issued conflicting jurisdictional rulings as to whether the proper venue for determining any obligation to pay child support owed by Edwards exists in California or in Georgia.Ayesha received a declaration from Alexandria Desroches, Anthony’s other child’s mother, who has a son named Amir with Edwards. The declaration made by Desroches that supported Howard’s claims represented a dramatic shift. In that declaration, Desroches indicated that Edwards has been making child support payments to her each month voluntarily, and that the payments have allegedly come from a bank account in Beverly Hills, California.Howard is using this evidence to argue that Edwards continues to have both operational and monetary connections with the state, thereby supporting his prior contention that Edwards does not have any meaningful contacts with California.He claimed she continues to file “meritless and harassing motions.”He added that Ayesha has openly attacked Anthony with incendiary claims by taking advantage of the case.According to Anthony’s attorney, in his ten years of legal practice:“I have never encountered a litigant who has so flagrantly and repeatedly abused the judicial process.”He said:“It is a campaign of harassment, obstruction, and extortion that has made a mockery of the court systems in two states.”Ayesha is still contesting the California judge’s earlier ruling that it lacked jurisdiction over Anthony. A Georgia judge has ordered Ayesha to pay Anthony’s attorney fees and ruled that the matter will be tried in Georgia. Howard continues to pursue his lawsuit aggressively, despite this setback. Edwards’ attorneys filed a motion with the court requesting that the case be sealed, and that any further filings by Ayesha not be allowed as unnecessary and repetitive. The language of the motion indicates that there has been a dramatic increase in tensions between the two sides, as both sides appear to be relying upon after-the-fact tactics rather than working together to resolve the issue.
