The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) said it had verified 3,090 deaths, including 2,885 protesters, Reuters reported.Demonstrations have been reported from major cities such as Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan. Protesters have also raised slogans against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, adding to regional instability and prompting airlines to review flight operations.
