The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) will declare the Madhyamik Result 2026 on May 8, 2026, bringing an end to the wait for nearly 9.71 lakh Class 10 students across the state. The examination was conducted from February 2 to February 12, 2026, at more than 2,600 centres. Once released, students will be able to check their results through official websites and the TOI result portal. While the focus is now on results, attention is also turning to the pass percentage trend, which has remained tightly packed in recent years. Over the last five years, West Bengal Madhyamik results have mostly stayed in the mid-80% range, showing a stable academic pattern. In 2025, the pass percentage stood at 86.56%, while 2024 recorded 83.61%, marking a slight dip. In 2023 and 2022, the figures were 86.15% and 86.60% respectively, indicating consistent performance across normal examination cycles. The 2021 result, however, showed a sharp spike to 100%, which was an exceptional year due to Covid-19-related evaluation relaxations.
