IPL 2026: KKR star's one-word message for Thalapathy Vijay goes viral after TVK win

NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders star spinner Varun Chakravarthy took to social media to congratulate mega movie star Vijay on his historic electoral victory in Tamil Nadu in his debut election outing. The KKR spinner, who hails from Tamil Nadu, shared a photo with Vijay and posted a one-word message.Chakravarthy uploaded the picture on his Instagram stories, where Vijay is seen giving him a fist bump, and captioned it “Anna” along with a heart emoji.

Tamil Nadu witnessed a major political shake-up as “Thalapathy” Vijay made a dramatic entry into electoral politics. His party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as a disruptive force, cutting into the long-standing dominance of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its arch-rival All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).Chakravarthy has had a mixed but largely impactful IPL 2026 campaign for Kolkata Knight Riders, showing his wicket-taking ability despite a few expensive outings.The mystery spinner has picked up 10 wickets in 7 matches so far.After going wicketless in his first three games, he produced a standout performance against Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens, returning exceptional figures of 3/14.

He followed it up with another strong display against Sunrisers Hyderabad, claiming 3/36. Chakravarthy has also delivered steady spells against Lucknow Super Giants (2/33) and Gujarat Titans (2/34).However, he endured a slow start to the tournament, going wicketless in his opening three matches – against Chennai Super Kings (0/26), Sunrisers Hyderabad (0/31) and a costly outing against Mumbai Indians (0/48).
