Vaishakha Amavasya 2026: Do’s and don’ts to follow
People are advised to follow some do’s and don’ts so that they can seek blessings on that day and you should also avoid some mistakes during the day:1. People should not conduct any auspicious activity on this day. 2. The activities such as marriage, engagement, house warming party, mundan and avoid buying new vehicle also. 3. We often don’t check the panchang and day before going for purchasing but you must follow this guideline and never go for shopping on this specific day because the day is dedicated to ancestors so one must avoid doing it. 4. The day is considered inauspicious for starting new business venture so this you should keep in your mind. 5. You are not advised to start a new job on the day of Amavasya. 6. The day is dedicated to honor ancestors so one should perform some rituals that are useful for their salvation. 7. You should invite the Brahmins at home and feed them food, give them clothes and footwears and dakshina also. 8. One must feed ants, dogs, crows and cows. This will be meritorious for you and you will b freed from the karmic baggage. 9. One must avoid wearing new clothes and footwears also. 10. After preparing food, one must take out chapati and give it to cow. 11. You should light a diya beneath the peepal tree. This will reduce the bad effects of Saturn (Shani). 12.
