TNPSC publishes marks and ranks for Combined Technical Services Examination 2025 online

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has published the marks and rank positions for the Combined Technical Services Examination 2025 on its official website. The results have been published in interactive mode. Candidates could go and see their performances individually using login credentials.According to the official press release issued by the Commission, the marks and ranks are prepared in compliance with the performance of the candidates in the Written Examination and the conditions laid down in the recruitment notification. The examination was held for Non-Interview posts under the Combined Technical Services category.Details of the examination and candidate attendanceAn open competitive examination under the Combined Technical Services Examination (Non-Interview Posts) in various technical departments was conducted against 1097 vacancies. The written examination comprising two compulsory papers was held in two sessions each on 04.08.2025 to 10.08.2025, and 17.08.2025 and 18.08.2025.Test was conducted through combo: OMR method, Computer-Based Test method, and descriptive method. A large number of candidates appeared for the test. A total of 51,918 candidates appeared for the test.Basis for preparation of merit and rank listThe merit list has been prepared based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination. While preparing the list, the marks obtained in part B and part C of Paper I, along with Paper II, were considered.Where two or more individuals having the same marks were allocated an equal position in the merit list, the selection by the TNPSC was made following a well-defined procedure. Higher qualifications were always accorded priority. If both marks and qualifications were the same, seniority in age was considered. Where age was also identical, priority was given to the candidate who submitted the application earlier, as determined by the application number.Selection process and counsellingThe final selection will be made based on the total marks obtained in the written examination, subject to the rule of reservation of appointments. Candidates will be allowed to participate in counselling, wherever applicable, based on their rank in the published list.The press release was signed by A.
