Tamil Nadu Class 12 supplementary schedule released after HSC results 2026 declaration

TN HSC supplementary exams 2026: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, has announced the supplementary examination schedule for Class 12 students following the declaration of the TN HSC Result 2026. The Higher Secondary Certificate supplementary examinations will be conducted from June 29 to July 7 across the state.The supplementary examination schedule was released along with the Class 12 board examination results on Friday, May 8, 2026. Students who could not clear one or more subjects in the public examinations will be eligible to apply for the supplementary tests within the notified application window.Application process and important datesThe Tamil Nadu school education department stated that applications for the supplementary examinations will be accepted from May 18 to June 2. Students are required to complete the application process within the scheduled period through the channels notified by the board.Apart from the Class 12 supplementary examinations, the Directorate of Government Examinations also announced the schedule for Class 11 arrear examinations. The arrear examinations for Class 11 students will be conducted from July 8 to July 16.The board has additionally released dates for revaluation and retotalling applications for Class 12 and Class 11 arrear examination papers. Students seeking revaluation or retotalling can submit their applications from June 5 to June 8.Result statistics released by boardTamil Nadu recorded a 95.20% overall pass percentage in the Class 12 board examinations for the 2025-2026 academic session. Out of 7,91,654 students who appeared for the examinations, 7,53,694 cleared the tests conducted by the state board.Girls registered a pass percentage of 97%, while boys secured 93.19% in the Higher Secondary Certificate examinations. Girls outperformed boys by 3.81 percentage points this year.Erode district recorded the highest pass percentage in the state at 98.87%. Sivagangai and Kanyakumari followed among the top-performing districts in the board examinations.Result access and mark sheetsStudents can continue checking their Class 12 results through the official websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. The board has also provided access through DigiLocker, SMS and WhatsApp services.The provisional mark sheets for Class 12 students will be available from May 13, 2026. Students seeking copies of their answer sheets can submit requests between May 12 and May 16, 2026.
