NBC Sports analyst Chris Simms also weighed in on the latest revelation during an appearance on “Pro Football Talk.” The former quarterback admitted the allegations crossed a different line compared to typical sports scandals because of the pregnancy angle attached to the story.“There are affairs that happen in marriages, and stuff like that goes down,” Simms said. “It’s rare where we see this type of public where it’s someone following the NFL and a head coach and all that as well.“But I think at a base level, with a lack of a better way to say it, I think this story is a little bit like for most people, it’s the first time it crossed into – like you’re pregnant and you went and saw him and she’s pregnant and you wanted her to come and hang out on a boat.”As speculation continues growing online, questions now surround both Russini’s future in sports media and whether the controversy could eventually affect Vrabel’s position with the Patriots.
