Ranveer Singh starrer mints over Rs 50 crore from preview shows

The wait is finally over! The much-awaited spy thriller that takes the tale of Hamza and Lyari to another level is here; ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is here! Released on March 19, 2025 (today), the film had its paid preview shows a day earlier on March 18, 2026. Though there were delays and some cancellations in the preview shows, because of some technical difficulties, the Aditya Dhar-led high-octane action drama has been garnering attention and rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Headlined by Ranveer Singh, who is making his return with double the power and intensity, the film promises to elevate the scale and stakes of the franchise. This time around, directed by Aditya Dhar, dove deeper into a high-octane narrative filled with espionage, revenge, and emotional conflict. In the sequel, the makers have not only shown what happened after Hamza stepped up to take the throne of Lyari, following the end of Rehman Diakat, but also joined the dots between the Indian spy’s past, present and future. The back story, which highlights the transformation of Jaskirat to Hamza, leaves an impact.

In addition to the vision and story, what adds more charm to the project is the stellar performances by the stars. While Ranveer Singh plays the lead role, actors like Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun are in pivotal roles.

The booking figures are clear evidence of the excitement surrounding ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge.’ The advance booking in India and overseas simply broke records. A new benchmark has been set by the movie at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the early preview shows collected over Rs 50 crore gross in the Indian market. This is the highest a movie premiere has earned. Earlier, the undefeated champion in this category was Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG,’ which made over Rs 25 crore from its premiere.
