Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has sparked conversation with his progressive views on divorce. He called for society to treat divorced women with compassion and respect instead of stigma. The actor shared a heartfelt video message urging families to support women starting a new chapter after separation.

Rakesh Bedi recently addressed the sensitive topic of divorce through social media. He stressed that divorce should not be viewed as an end but as a fresh start in life. Taking to his social media, the ‘Dhurandhar’ actor posted a video highlighting the need for change. He spoke about giving women another chance to rebuild their lives with dignity.In the video, Rakesh Bedi said, “I feel that if a daughter returns home after a divorce, she should be given another chance at life by her family. Instead of making divorce a taboo in society, we should support her so that she can stand on her own feet and become independent.” He added a simple yet powerful message while sharing the video. “Divorce is not the end. Make it a new beginning.”

Rakesh Bedi narrated a touching real-life incident to strengthen his point. He spoke about a father who celebrated his daughter’s return after divorce with ‘dhol and band’. This father chose joy and pride over societal pressure and shame.On the professional front, Rakesh Bedi is receiving widespread appreciation for his roles in ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’. The sequel has collected Rs 1,766.06 crore worldwide, with an India gross of Rs 1,343.56 crore and an overseas gross of Rs 422.50 crore. According to the latest Sacnilk data, the film achieved Rs 1,122.49 crore in net collections across 491,184 shows in 36 days.
