'POV You are missing Rishi Kapoor': Padmini Kolhapure pays tribute to Rishi Kapoor on his death anniversary - Watch

Rishi Kapoor remains one of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated actors, known for his extensive body of work filled with memorable roles that touch our hearts. His passing has left a huge void in Bollywood. Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure paid a heartfelt tribute to her late co-star and close friend Rishi Kapoor on April 30 marking his death anniversary. She chose to remember him through a nostalgic musical moment shared on social media. Taking to her social media account, she posted a video where she is seen humming the evergreen lines of the popular song ‘Puchho Na Yaar Kya Hua’. In the video, the actress appears both cheerful and nostalgic as she revisits the iconic track. As the caption, she wrote, “POV You are missing Rishi Kapoor.”

Iconic song from a classic film ‘Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai

The song ‘Puchho Na Yaar Kya Hua’ originally belongs to the 1981 film ‘Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai’. Directed by Nasir Hussain, the film featured Rishi Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure in lead roles, and their pairing became widely popular during that era. Its music, composed by R. D. Burman, combined with soulful vocals by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle is surely iconic for all the right reasons.

Neetu Kapoor’s emotional remembrance

On the last day, Rishi Kapoor’s wife Neetu Kapoor also remembered the late actor through an emotional social media post. Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67 after battling leukaemia for two years. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and underwent treatment in New York before returning to India in September 2019.Sharing unseen candid photographs of her late husband, Neetu Kapoor wrote, “Always in our hearts.” In one of the throwback pictures, the couple is seen sitting together and smiling warmly at the camera. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, also marked the day with an emotional tribute. She shared a portrait of her father on Instagram as part of her remembrance.Along with the image, she wrote, “Until we meet again. I’ll keep celebrating you, loving you and missing you, always (sic).”
