KEONJHAR: A tribal man unearthed his dead sister’s skeleton and staged protest in front of a rural bank with the skeleton to get back her deposited money. The tribal man is identified as Jitu Munda from Mallipasi village, Patna block. “When the bank official could not gave his sister’s deposit money he has brought the skeleton to show them as proof that she has dead” said Jitu Munda. According to the police, Jitu’s sister died two months ago. She has an account in a rural bank in Mallipasi with a deposit of about rupees 19,300. After Jitu’s death, he went to the bank to withdraw the amount. But the bank official refused to pay because the account is in his sister’s name. Bank staff became frightened and confined them inside the bank for some time. After the news broke, villagers from all around reached the bank to witness the man. Kiran Prasad Sahu, IIC Patna police station, said, “Police convinced him about the matter and told him to collect the death certificate. Later he returned with the bag containing his sister’s remains. He is innocent and could not understand about the death certificate to be deposited in the bank to get back his sister’s deposited money from the bank” .
