NTA releases important notice for CUET UG application 2026: Check details here

CUET UG application form 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important public notice on its official portal. The notice is urging students to complete their Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026 applications well before the January 30 deadline. The agency warned aspirants against waiting until the last moment, citing heavy portal traffic and technical disruptions that often surface close to closing hours.Online registration for CUET UG 2026 began on January 3 and will close on January 30 at 11.50 pm. Candidates will be able to pay the application fee until January 31, also up to 11.50 pm. The NTA has advised applicants to finalise their forms early to ensure smooth submission.CUET UG 2026 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode between May 11 and May 31 on a tentative basis. The examination will take place across multiple centres in cities throughout India, along with 15 centres outside the country, highlighting the expanding footprint of the national-level entrance test.The CUET UG serves as a single-window gateway for undergraduate admissions to central universities and several other participating institutions. With lakhs of students expected to compete for limited seats, timely registration is being viewed as the first critical step in the admission journey.The NTA has also announced that a correction window will remain open from February 2 to 4, 2026. Candidates who wish to correct the application forms can do so. During this period, candidates will be allowerd to edit select details in their applications.

CUET UG 2026 application: Steps to apply

Aspirants can complete their CUET UG 2026 registration through the official CUET portal. Check the steps elucidated here to apply:

  • Move to the CUET website and begin by registering with basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
  • Log in using the credentials sent after registration.
  • Fill in personal, academic, category, and contact information.
  • Select the subjects for which you wish to appear.
  • Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other required documents.
  • You can pay the application fee through the available online payment modes.
  • You must download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Students are advised to keep all documents ready in advance to avoid interruptions during the process. These include a valid photo identity proof, Class 10 certificate for date of birth verification, Class 12 marksheet or school details if appearing, a recent photograph, signature, and category or PwBD certificates where applicable.
