Nikhil Nair became a sensation on Malayalam TV with his debut role, Ambadi, in the show ‘Ammayariyathe.’ His striking chemistry with Sreethu Krishnan was much celebrated by fans that they even made him come back to the show despite leaving it midway. After years, Nikhil is back to Malayalam, with yet another police character, and this time with the all-time favorite heroine of Malayalam, Malavika Wales. In a candid chat with ETimes, the actor spoke about his excitement about the comeback and the new show.“I am so excited to be back in Malayalam. I got caught up with my commitments in other languages and had to push Malayalam serials. And yes, now I am back. I am overwhelmed by the love and support the Malayali audience is pouring on me. Words can’t explain my gratitude,” he said.
The teaser of the show, Ivar Vivahitharayal, featuring the ever-fighting Ajay and Bhoomi, has already crossed a million views as fans are excited for an exciting rom-com on TV. Not to miss, yet again, Nikhil can be seen playing a cop in this show.“Viewers love to see me as a police officer, and it is an honor that the same is coming back to me. It is my third character as a police officer. I am sure to rock it,” he added.Soon after the teaser is out, fans are going gaga over the striking chemistry of both Malavika and Nikhil; though it’s their first time sharing the screen together, it seems like the duo is set to be the next trending reel couple.“Malavika is a sweet person to work with. Though we had met years back at some events, we never got a chance to interact much. But on the set, we could connect instantly. I hope our chemistry will entertain the fans too,” the actor said.Talking about Ivar Vivahitharayal, Nikhil said that the show has all the elements to attract the Malayali audience.“It’s a pure rom-com. Viewers will get to see some cute fights and romance on the screen. Along with it, there will be some mass fight scenes from SI Ajay. The star cast will also surprise the viewers with their talent. We are all set and fingers crossed, may the Malayali audience give their verdict,” he concluded.
