The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released a revised exam calendar for the 2026–27 academic cycle. The updated schedule covers crucial examinations such as NEET-PG, NEET-SS, FMGE, and final assessments for DNB, DrNB, and diploma courses. The NBEMS has confirmed that the NEET-PG 2026 will be conducted on August 30, 2026 (Sunday). The exam remains one of the most competitive gateways for postgraduate medical seats across the country.
NEET-SS 2026 scheduled for December
For super-specialty aspirants, the NEET-SS 2026 is tentatively scheduled for December 11 and 12, 2026 (Friday and Saturday).Furthermore, NBEMS has fixed the deadline for completion of the necessary prior qualification as January 31, 2027, thus providing the candidates with the necessary timeline.
Revised Schedule of final exams under DNB and DrNB programme
The NBEMS has also revised the schedule for conducting the final exams under Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB) programmes.
- Final Exam for DrNB Programme October 2026 session: September 25, 26, & 27, 2026
- Final Exam for DrNB Programme April 2027 session: March 26, 27, & 28, 2027
In the same way, the DNB Final Examination June 2026 session will be held from June 18-21, 2026, while the December 2026 session will be held from November 19-22, 2026.Similarly, the DNB Final Examination (June 2026 session) will be conducted from June 18 to 21, 2026, while the December 2026 session is scheduled between November 19 and 22, 2026.
NBEMS Diploma exams also outlined
The board has retained previously announced dates for diploma examinations:
- NBEMS Diploma Final Theory Exam (June 2026 session): May 14, 15, and 16, 2026
- NBEMS Diploma Final Exam (October 2026 session): September 11, 12, and 13, 2026
