JPMorgan executive accused of sexually assaulting 'brown boy Indian': Report

A JPMorgan Chase executive has been accused in a lawsuit of sexually harassing and abusing a junior male employee, including allegations of drugging him, subjecting him to racial abuse and threatening his career after he rejected her advances. The complaint was filed on Monday in the New York County Supreme Court by a plaintiff identified as John Doe, who said he is proceeding anonymously to protect himself and his family after receiving threats, as cited by The Daily Mail. The complaint alleges that the executive referred to the accuser as “brown boy Indian” and admitted to drugging him with the date rape drug “roofies” on multiple occasions. It further claims that during one encounter, she berated him as he cried while performing a sex act on him without his consent. The lawsuit also accuses JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) of enabling the alleged abuse and retaliating against the employee after he reported it, alleging the firm placed him on involuntary leave, damaged his reputation and failed to prevent threats against him while Hajdini and others faced no action.A spokesperson for JPMC said an internal investigation found no evidence to support the claims. “Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims,” the representative said, as reported by The Daily Mail.“While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”According to the complaint, the alleged conduct began shortly after the two started working together 2024, when the victim joined as a senior vice president/director and Hajdini joined the team the following month. The plaintiff alleges that she made repeated advances and threatened to affect his promotion prospects if he did not comply. The lawsuit states that the alleged conduct later escalated to sexual assault, with two witnesses cited as supporting parts of his account. It further alleges that Hajdini used threats and racial remarks to coerce him, and reportedly accessed his bank account without authorisation to monitor his activity. The victim says he submitted a written complaint to JPMorgan Chase in May last year, alleging discrimination, harassment and sexual abuse. He claimed that the firm began retaliating soon after which included anonymous threatening calls, disciplinary action and being placed on involuntary leave after losing access to company systems. The complaint alleges that no comparable action was taken against Hajdini or others named. JPMorgan Chase has denied the claims, stating that an internal investigation found no evidence to support the allegations, and that Hajdini remains employed at the firm.
