JEE Mains 2026 result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2 today, April 20, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) papers can now check and download their scorecards from the official JEE Main website, which is jeemain.nta.nic.in.Around 11.23 lakh candidates have received their Session 2 scores and ranks. To access the result, candidates need to log in using their application number along with their password or date of birth.The NTA has also released the final answer key along with the results. Notably, two questions from the Physics section of the April 4 morning shift have been dropped.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam details

The Session 2 examination was held from April 2 to April 8 in two shifts per day. The exam took place at centres across 304 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. More than 11 lakh candidates appeared for this session.Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates, based on the combined performance in Session 1 and Session 2, will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. This exam is conducted for admission to engineering programmes at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Follow these simple steps to download your result:

  • Visit any of the official websites mentioned above
  • Click on the link that says “JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result”
  • Enter your application number and password or date of birth
  • Fill in the captcha code as shown on the screen
  • Click on submit to view your scorecard
  • Download the scorecard PDF and keep a printout for future use

Session 1 details

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam was conducted from January 21 to January 29. The result for this session was declared on February 16, with more than 13 lakh candidates appearing.Candidates are advised to keep their scorecards safe, as they will be required during the counselling and admission process.
