JEE Main admit card 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 admit cards for January 28 and 29, 2026. Millions of students across India are eagerly waiting for their hall tickets. It is essential to appear in one of the country’s most competitive engineering entrance examinations. The JEE Main 2026 examination is being held in Session 1 from January 21 to January 29, 2026. Admit cards for the earlier exam dates (January 21, 22, 23 and 24) have already been released and candidates have downloaded them from the official portal. However, for those appearing on January 28 (B.E./B.Tech) and January 29 (B.Arch/B.Planning), the hall tickets are not yet available but are expected very soon. NTA traditionally issues these admit cards a few days before the exam, most likely around January 24 or 25, 2026.

JEE Main 2026 admit card: Steps to download

Candidates can follow the steps elucidated here to download the JEE Main admit card 2026:

  • Visit the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, the official JEE Main website.
  • Click on the admit card link on the homepage.
  • A new page will open up.
  • Enter your application number and password.
  • Download the hall ticket in PDF format and print it out for exam day.

The admit card will contain important details such as the candidate’s name, exam date and shift, roll number, exam centre address, and key instructions.Students must carry their printed admit card along with a valid photo ID, such as Aadhaar Card, passport, or school identity card, on the day of the exam. Without this, entry to the examination hall will not be permitted.The hall ticket also provides the reporting time and exam shift, helping candidates plan their journey well in advance.
