GTA Online players can now access a new two-week Motor Madness event. This event will offer players a variety of racing-focused activities, bonus payouts, free rewards, and discounts across multiple in-game businesses. The promotion, which runs from May 14 to May 27, offers bonuses for GTA$ and RP on Land Races, Simeon Contact Jobs, LS Car Meet Events, and Auto Shop Heists. The event will even include free cosmetic rewards and discounted vehicles. Exclusive racing outfits will be unlocked upon completion of weekly challenges, and bonuses will be available through Salvage Yard and Auto Shop jobs.The event also offers a free LS Car Meet Membership, discounted properties and vehicle upgrades, while GTA+ members gain access to additional benefits, including a free vehicle. Rockstar Games says the update aims to turn Los Santos into a hub for racing activities over the next two weeks.
GTA Online Motor Madness event: Key rewards and bonuses explained
The first week of Motor Madness (May 14–20) offers 4X GTA$ and RP on Land Races, making competitive racing one of the fastest ways to earn rewards. Players can also receive 3X GTA$ and RP on HSW Time Trials and Simeon Contact Missions. Meanwhile, Community Race Series events provide 2X GTA$ and RP. For players involved in the Salvage Yard business, payouts have increased significantly. Salvage Yard Daily Income, Robbery Sale rewards, Salvage Value and Tow Truck Services are all paying out double rewards during the first week.
Free rewards players can unlock during the event
Rockstar is offering multiple free items based on gameplay and purchases:
- Rockstar Helmet: Available simply by playing GTA Online before May 27.
- Rockstar Racing Suit: Granted after purchasing any vehicle from Simeon’s Premium Deluxe Motorsport showroom.
- LS Customs Varsity Jacket: Awarded for buying any vehicle from Luxury Autos.
- Blue Banshee Tee: Available after purchasing eligible vehicles featured inside the LS Car Meet.
Rockstar notes that rewards will be delivered within 72 hours after qualifying purchases.
Weekly Challenges reward racing suits and a GTA$100,000 bonus
Completing the racing-based challenges allows unlocking of unique outfits as follows:Win 2 races from 14 May to 20 May → Unlocks Dark Manor Racing Suit and GTA$100,000Win 2 LS Car Meet races from 21 May to 27 May → Unlocks Bright Manor Racing Suit and GTA$100,000
Second week shifts focus to LS Car Meet and Auto Shop bonuses
During May 21–27, Rockstar is increasing rewards around LS Car Meet activities:
- 5X LS Car Meet Reputation
- 2X GTA$ and RP on Street, Drag, Drift and Pursuit races
- Free LS Car Meet Membership
- 2X GTA$ and RP on Junk Energy Time Trials and RC Time Trials
Players running Auto Shops can also earn 2X GTA$ and RP on Auto Shop Robbery Contract finales, while Auto Shop properties and upgrades receive 40% discounts.
Discounts on vehicles, garages and upgrades
The event includes discounts on multiple in-game purchases. Some offers include:
- 40% off Bravado Banshee GTS
- 40% off Salvage Yard properties
- 40% off Garage properties
- 50% off HSW Performance Upgrades
- 50% off Turbo Tuning
- 50% off Benny’s Conversion Upgrades
- 50% off Blue and Yellow Tire Smoke customisations
Players can also access a new Water Like livery for the Vapid FMJ MK V, available through Vehicle Workshops.
GTA+ members receive additional perks
GTA+ subscribers can claim a free Übermacht Sentinel GTS sports car from The Vinewood Car Club. Membership benefits also include Junk x Jackal clothing, Chameleon Paints, bonuses on Import/Export Sales, Special Vehicle Work and GTA$500,000 every month.
