‘Going against assumptions’: Jasprit Bumrah celebrates 10 years as India’s pace phenomenon

NEW DELHI: India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah marked a major milestone on Friday as he completed 10 years in international cricket, reflecting on a journey defined by self-belief, resilience and a relentless refusal to conform. Bumrah made his international debut on this day in 2016 against Australia in Sydney, returning figures of 2/40 in a composed 10-over spell. A decade on, he is widely regarded as the most complete fast bowler India have produced, combining an unorthodox action with lethal yorkers, sharp pace and unmatched accuracy across formats.
