ALWAR: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted while on her way to school and gang-raped by three men in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, with villagers later setting the vehicle used in the crime on fire after the accused abandoned it, police said Friday. A case has been registered in this connection at Raini police station against three persons, two of whom have been named, while the third remains unidentified. According to the complaint filed by the survivor’s brother, the Class 11 student was walking towards a local govt school around 8am Thursday when an SUV slowed down near her and she was forcibly pulled inside. Two boys inside the vehicle tied her hands and blindfolded her before picking up another boy along the way, the complaint alleged. The minor girl was then taken to an unknown location, where she found herself inside a room after her blindfold was removed. The complaint alleges that all three accused proceeded to rape her while recording objectionable photos and videos, threatening to have her brother killed if she reported the incident. Police said the survivor was made to sit back in the same vehicle after the ordeal, where she was again blindfolded and later dropped off, not far from where she had been abducted, around 1am Friday. When the accused saw a crowd nearby while dropping off the girl, they apparently panicked and fled after abandoning the vehicle, police said. Villagers tried to catch them but failed. An angry mob later set the vehicle on fire, police said. The girl’s statement has been recorded in court and an investigation led by deputy superintendent of police, Rajgarh, Manisha Meena, is underway.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
