UPSC CSE 2025 final results out, Anuj Agnihotri tops exam; 958 recommended for IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services

The UPSC has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025, recommending 958 candidates for appointment to the IAS, IFS, IPS, and various Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ central services. The total vacancies for the examination stood at 1,087 posts across different categories, and the commission has also prepared a reserve list of 258 candidates. US grants India temporary waiver to buy Russian oil amid Middle East crisis

The United States has issued a temporary 30-day waiver allowing India to continue purchasing Russian oil, citing the need to stabilize global energy supplies amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Sukhoi Su-30MKI crash: IAF Pilot who died in tragedy had taken part in Operation Sindoor

Flight Lieutenant Purvesh Duragkar, one of two pilots killed in a Su-30MKI crash in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district, was part of the Operation Sindoor. The Air Force confirmed that Flt Lt Duragkar and Squadron Leader Anuj had sustained fatal injuries during a training sortie after the aircraft lost radar contact following takeoff from Jorhat. Speaking to reporters, Purvesh’s father, Ravindra Duragkar, remembered him as a dedicated officer who took immense pride in flying. The IAF and defence minister Rajnath Singh expressed condolences, remembering the pilots’ courage and service. Read full story
