Separately, the latest tranche of files also reveals that Epstein had discussed introducing a Russian woman to Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III.The references to the woman appear in some of the millions of pages released on Friday. The disclosures were made under a law intended to shed light on what the government knew about Epstein’s abuse of underage girls and his links with influential and powerful figures.According to the documents, an email dated August 12, 2010, shows Epstein writing to Andrew, addressing him as “The Duke,” and saying he had “a friend who I think you might enjoy having dinner with.” Epstein added that the woman would be in London between August 20 and 24.In his response, Andrew asked what Epstein had told her about him and whether she would be carrying “a message” on Epstein’s behalf, the emails indicate. In a later exchange, Andrew said he would be in Geneva on August 22 but “would be delighted to see her.”Epstein described the woman as 26, Russian, “clever and beautiful,” and noted that she already had the prince’s email address. The records do not suggest that any meeting between them ultimately took place.Weeks later, the two reportedly discussed the possibility of a dinner at Buckingham Palace.According to one message, Epstein contacted Andrew on September 27, 2010, during a stay in London and wrote “what time would you like me… we will also need (to)… have private time,” as cited by AFP.Andrew replied that he was just leaving Scotland and added, “we could have dinner at Buckingham Palace and lots of privacy.”Two days later, Andrew emailed again saying “delighted for you to come here to BP (Buckingham Palace). Come with whomever and I’ll be here free from 1600ish to 2000.”It remains unclear whether the dinner at the palace, then the official London residence of the late Queen Elizabeth II, ever took place.Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, stating that he did not “see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction,” as cited by the BBC.Andrew has consistently denied sexually abusing Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was trafficked to have sex with him on three occasions, including twice when she was 17.After Giuffre filed a lawsuit, Andrew reached a multi-million-pound settlement with her in 2022, without admitting any wrongdoing.Giuffre, a dual US and Australian citizen, died by suicide at her home in Australia in April.
