Encounter breaks out in Kishtwar forests of J&K after army search operation

An encounter erupted between security forces and suspected militants in a remote forest area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday, officials told news agency PTI. The exchange of fire began after army troops launched a search operation in the snow-bound Chatroo forests following intelligence about two suspects. Reinforcements have been deployed.
