The conversation then turned friendly as the policeman asked Irfan about his name and team, to which the Pakistan cricketer replied that he played for Hyderabad. The discussion soon shifted to cricket, with the policeman recalling some memorable moments from the Pakistan Super League.During the chat, the officer praised Irfan and said, “You are an asset to our community, but wearing a seat belt is important for your safety.” The interaction also featured some humorous banter about sixes and the money cricketers earn for hitting them. The policeman jokingly told Irfan that he now had a “small fine of PKR 5000.”Before letting him go, the officer urged the cricketer to always wear a seat belt and encourage others to follow traffic rules as well, saying, “You are very special for us.” Irfan smiled and replied, “Thank you.”In the end, Irfan escaped without a fine, fastened his seat belt and drove away.Irfan, who made his international debut for Pakistan in 2024, has so far played nine ODIs and 14 T20Is for the national side.
