Now, years later, the show is reportedly being considered for a reboot.
‘The Apprentice’ may return with a reboot
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the long-running reality series—which debuted in 2004 and ran for 10 seasons—is being explored for a revival.The studio behind major titles such as The Boys, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Fallout and Jack Ryan is reportedly considering bringing back the hit format. Notably, The Apprentice was a key platform that elevated Trump’s popularity before his political career and eventual move to the White House.However, the project is currently in its early stages, with only internal discussions underway and no official confirmation yet.A statement cited in the report read, “Since our acquisition of MGM, we have had preliminary internal discussions about what’s next for The Apprentice as a property.”The report also noted that no outreach has been made to the Trump administration so far. However, if the reboot moves forward, there is speculation that Donald Trump Jr. could be considered to lead the show.
