A short clip from Disguised Toast’s podcast has suddenly gone viral, and it has started a big conversation online. In the video, Toast talks openly about Sykkuno and the way he presents himself on stream. He said he always believed people understood that Sykkuno’s “shy anime boy” style was just a persona, not his real personality. The clip, taken from the April 30, 2026 episode of We Were Fighting Before This, quickly spread across X. Many viewers began sharing their opinions, with some agreeing with Toast while others defended Sykkuno. So far, Sykkuno has not responded, but the discussion around him and his fanbase continues to grow.

Disguised Toast says Sykkuno persona was never real and criticizes fan reactions during public discussions

Speaking on the podcast with co-host Yvonne “Yvonnie,” Disguised Toast explained his point in a very direct way. He said, “I just thought everyone knew that UwU shy anime boy didn’t exist in the real world. I thought we were all in this kinda persona he was putting forth. So, for me, it wasn’t super shocking.”He compared the situation to discovering something unexpected about a public figure, but said this was not that serious. He added, “It wasn’t like finding out Mr. Rogers was a drugged, smoking, drinking guy. It was just like he’s not actually a UwU shy anime boy. Like, that clip that’s going around, it’s kind of me acknowledging the fact that we know that he is not a shy UwU anime boy. Right? He’s a 30-year-old man. It’s like a persona thing.”Toast also shared that not everyone believed in this online image. According to him, some people always saw it as an act. But the real issue, he said, came from how fans reacted when someone questioned it. He explained, “I think a lot of guys just maybe didn’t buy Sykkuno’s act. I thought we were all in the joke. But, to be fair, in the past where any one of us would push back against that persona publicly, his fans would get really upset at us, like, quote-unquote bullying him.”He went further and spoke about his own experience dealing with that reaction. “I had to yell at his fans or be yelled at by his fans because I was treating him like an adult,” he said.Later in the same episode, Toast directly addressed what he called toxic behavior from parts of the fanbase. He said, “But to the Sykkuno fans that were toxic, all of you. I swear to god! I am so cheesed at what happens horrible, but I hope you guys take a look in the mirror and realize that UwU boys and being toxic on behalf of the guy that is just a streamer and bullying other people just because they voiced their opinions?”He also mentioned a gaming moment, saying, “Just because they are like, ‘Hey, Sykkuno, maybe you shouldn’t pull your knife out in this Valorant tournament, with 40 other creators, just so you can farm one clip.’” For now, the conversation is still active online, with no response yet from Sykkuno.
