'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' censor certification details revealed ahead of release; Ranveer Singh starrer to feature 'strong violence'

With the clock ticking down to the theatrical release of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, new details about the film have emerged following its certification by the Irish Censor Board. The film, which is set for its global debut on March 19, with preview shows scheduled for March 18, has had its censor certification released online.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ Censor certificate

According to certification trends, the Ranveer Singh-starrer has been cleared with an 18 (Adults only) certificate, owing to its depiction of brutal action sequences, ‘strong violence’, ‘explicit language’ and scenes of ‘mild nudity’. This is in line with the ‘A’ rating ‘Dhurandhar’ (2025) received on its release on December 5.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ runtime

Amid much chatter around the film’s official runtime, the censor certificate confirms that the film will have a runtime of approximately 235 minutes, making it one of the longer mainstream commercial releases in recent times. With a nearly four-hour runtime, the film will be almost 30 minutes longer than ‘Dhurandhar’, which had just a 214-minute runtime.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ box office collections

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film serves as a continuation of the ‘Dhurandhar’ saga, which went on to become a box office blockbuster. It clinched the title as the highest-earning Bollywood film of all time. The film not only set cash counters ringing in India, but also went on to make its mark on a global scale. ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ will arrive in cinemas on March 19. As per advance booking reports, the film’s all-India advance total has climbed to approximately Rs 31.9 crore gross. Meanwhile, early reports suggest that the film will score an opening weekend haul of USD 4.05 million at the North American box office.
