The posts, featuring photos and videos, were actually from the wedding festivities of her close friend, actress Mehreen Pirzada. She also dropped a mehendi video of her BFF with the caption, “She is the one who is getting married, not me. (Iski ho Rahi hai bhai meri nahi).” From fun candid moments to lively celebrations, Akasa was seen enjoying every bit of the occasion, standing by her best friend as a bridesmaid and not as the bride.

Currently, the singer is focusing on her music, as her latest song ‘Jab Talak’ from Cocktail 2’ is trending in India. The track is getting a lot of attention, with Akasa lending her voice to actress Kriti Sanon in the film. ‘Cocktail 2’ is seen as a follow-up to the 2012 hit ‘Cocktail’, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. The film has been shot in different locations, including Sicily in Italy and places in Delhi and North India like Chhatarpur, Gurugram, and South Delhi. It is directed by Homi Adajania, produced by Maddock Films, and written by Luv Ranjan. The film will release in theatres on June 19.
