The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 12th results 2026 soon at cbse.gov.in. Students are being advised to prepare their credentials in advance. One of the most important requirements is APAAR ID.It will enable them to check their marksheets without difficulty. DigiLocker is an official digital application that ensures safe storage of educational records. The DigiLocker service has also been fortified using UMANG.

What is APAAR ID?

APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. It is a unique academic identity number that stores a student’s educational records digitally in one place. It is linked with government systems and helps students access their marksheets, certificates, and other academic documents online.How to create APAAR IDIn most cases, the APAAR ID is created through schools with support from official government systems. Students should follow these simple steps:1. Contact your schoolStudents must first reach out to their school administration. Schools are responsible for initiating APAAR registration for students.2. Submit basic detailsStudents may be asked to provide:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Aadhaar number (if any)
  • Admission or roll number

3. Aadhaar linking processIf required, the school may link the student’s Aadhaar details to verify identity and complete registration.4. DigiLocker activationThe generated APAAR ID will be associated with DigiLocker and the students will then have access to the portal after logging in using the mobile number provided by them.5. Check UMANG updatesUpdates regarding CBSE results notifications may also be checked on the UMANG portal that provides official updates about the results.
