BTSC Junior Engineer recruitment 2026: Registration underway for 2,809 posts; check eligibility and direct link to apply

BTSC JE recruitment 2026: The registration process for Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) Junior Engineer recruitment 2026 is currently underway and will close soon. BTSC had recently extended the last date to apply after many candidates reported technical problems on the application portal.The recruitment drive aims to fill 2,809 Junior Engineer posts in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical disciplines across various government departments in Bihar.Eligible candidates can apply through the official website btsc.bihar.gov.in. Earlier, the last date for submitting applications was January 12, 2026. But, following requests received from applicants regarding issues faced during form submission, the commission has decided to extend the deadline. The new last date to apply online is January 30, 2026.It is also recommended that the applicants check the eligibility criteria and educational qualification before applying for the recruitment drive.

BTSC JE recruitment 2026: Vacancy details and eligibility criteria

According to the official notification, the vacancies are distributed across three engineering trades. Candidates must hold a diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution to be eligible for the respective post.

Candidates applying for the BTSC Junior Engineer recruitment 2026 are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100. The fee must be paid online through the payment gateway available on the official portal.

BTSC JE recruitment 2026: Selection process

The selection process will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Written examination
  2. Document verification
  3. Medical examination

Only candidates who qualify each stage will be considered for final appointment.
