'Border 2' day 8 Vs 'Mardaani 3' day 1 (LIVE): The Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan film dips, faces competition from the Rani Mukerji starrer

‘Border 2’ which released in theatres last Friday has managed to have a great week at the box office as the film crossed Rs 200 crore and completely benefitted from the Republic day release. The film headlined by Sunny Deol, also starring Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and others had a good start on opening day and saw growth over the weekend and Republic day. However, post that, there’s been a huge drop in the numbers and today Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mardaani 3’ has released which has further given it competition. After having an opening of Rs 30 crore, ‘Border 2’ saw growth on Sunday and made Rs 54.5 crore. It minted Rs 59 crore on Monday due to Republic day holiday. On Tuesday, one expected the film to decline which it did. The Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty starrer, directed by Anurag Singh, made Rs 20 crore on Tuesday, which is day 5. On day 6, the film has collected Rs 11.25 crore and it made 13 crore and on day 7, Thursday. Now on Friday, day 8, it seems like ‘Border 2’ has faced competition from ‘Mardaani 3’. Till afternoon, it has made Rs 1.11 crore. Meanwhile, ‘Mardaani 3’ has made Rs 3.80 crore till the same time on day 1. The total collection of ‘Border 2’ is now Rs 225.36 crore.
