Ranchi: Members of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Bihar, on Tuesday urged builders operating in Jharkhand to explore investment opportunities in the neighbouring state, citing its fast-paced development and rising housing demand.The outreach event aimed to connect with Jharkhand-based builders and homebuyers while highlighting Bihar’s ease of doing business and regulatory safeguards. Chairman Vivek Kumar Singh said, “RERA Bihar has simplified the project registration process through a filter system, ensuring that promoters face minimal hurdles. If documents are complete, registrations are granted with a liberal approach.”He added that the authority was firm on protecting homebuyers’ interests.Jharkhand development commissioner Ajay Kumar Singh, who attended the event, stressed that such initiatives offer learning opportunities. “Steps like these can strengthen buyer protection and improve transparency in the real estate sector,” he said.Jharkhand RERA chairman Birendra Bhushan also said Bihar’s model is widely appreciated and can be adapted. Local builders and prospective buyers participated in the programme, with officials emphasising the need to verify RERA registration before investing.Presentations, awareness films and an interactive session were also organised to address queries.
