AP Inter results 2026: The Intermediate Public Examination results in Andhra Pradesh were released on April 15, 2026, with the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh reporting a pass percentage of 77 per cent in the first year and 81 per cent in the second year. The announcement was made during an official briefing, where key statistics on student performance and institutional outcomes were shared.A total of 4,21,984 students appeared in the first-year examinations, of whom 3,61,526 passed. In the second year, 4,44,657 candidates took the examination and 3,59,816 cleared it. The examinations were conducted between February 23 and March 24. Alongside overall results, data on Government Junior Colleges showed pass percentages of 54 per cent in the first year and 68 per cent in the second year.Pass percentage comparison over the yearsThe pass percentage data over the past six years shows a consistent rise in both general and vocational streams. The latest figures for 2026 indicate the highest performance in recent years for general courses.

General stream trendsIn the general stream, the first-year pass percentage increased from 59 per cent in 2020 to 77 per cent in 2026. The second-year results also show an upward trend, rising from 59 per cent in 2020 to 81 per cent in 2026, with a peak of 83 per cent recorded in 2025.The data indicates a gradual increase from 2022 onwards, with consistent gains recorded each year. The rise in 2026 marks the highest level for first-year general students in the given period.Vocational stream performanceThe vocational stream also recorded steady growth over the years. The first-year pass percentage increased from 41 per cent in 2020 to 61 per cent in 2026. In the second year, the pass percentage rose from 50 per cent in 2020 to 74 per cent in 2026.The highest vocational second-year pass percentage was recorded in 2025 at 77 per cent, followed by a slight decrease in 2026. However, overall figures remain higher compared to earlier years.District and institutional dataDistrict-wise performance showed variation, with Krishna district recording the highest pass percentage in both first and second years, while Annamayya district reported the lowest. Government Junior Colleges recorded 54 per cent in the first year and 68 per cent in the second year, reflecting their contribution to the overall results.Students seeking recounting and re-verification can apply between April 20 and April 27. Supplementary practical examinations are scheduled from May 7 to May 11, followed by advanced supplementary examinations from May 21 onwards.
