Amitabh Bachchan grieves loss of fan from Allahabad, remembers her as extended family
Amitabh Bachchan mourned the death of fan Shalini Singh, whom he considered family. In an emotional blog post, he expressed grief and offered prayers, saying such loss is hard to articulate. The actor was last seen in Vettaiyan and is working on Kalki 2898 AD and Ramayana Part 1 sequel.

Amitabh Bachchan shared a heartfelt message on Tuesday, expressing sorrow over the demise of a fan he saw as part of his extended family. Recalling Shalini Singh from Prayagraj, whom he fondly called an “EF,” the legendary actor opened up about his grief. He also said a prayer, noting how challenging it is to articulate such a deeply personal loss.

He conveyed his grief through his official blog, a platform where he has long shared a personal rapport with his readers. Bachchan wrote, “Deeply saddened by the news of the passing of our dearly loved Ef Shalini Singh, from Allahabad ( PrayagRaj).”

The actor went on to say that such moments are always the most difficult and painful to articulate, adding that he turns to love, prayers, and condolences in times of grief. “I pray, we all pray for the departed soul, and for it the calm and peace it has always deserved, in grief,” he added.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan’s latest appearance was in ‘Vettaiyan’, directed by TJ Gnanavel, where he shared screen space with Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil. He is currently shooting for the sequel to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ under the direction of Nag Ashwin, alongside Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. He is also set to feature in ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol in key roles.
