Ameesha Patel defends Virat Kohli over his like on German model Liz Laz’s photo: 'Like karna paap hai kya?'

Virat Kohli is in the news again after fans spot his like on German Model Liz Laz’s photo. Earlier, Virat was in the news for the controversy surrounding his like on Avneet Kaur‘s picture. At the time, Virat had also clarified his like and blamed Instagram algorithm for it, stating that it wasn’t intentional. He had shared, “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made.”Now, the recent buzz began after Kohli liked a photo of Liz Laz, originally posted in January by photographer Advait with the caption, “Some golden hour shots.” The interaction came into the spotlight when Advait shared a screenshot of Kohli’s like, expressing his excitement. “How does one react to this… When the Goat, @virat.kohli, likes your post… me and @lizlaz_tv are still rubbing our eyes to check if it’s actually happening… haha… Thank you Goat,” he wrote. As the screenshot went viral, social media users flooded platforms with memes and reactions. Many even recalled a similar past episode involving a fan page of Avneet Kaur, which had also sparked chatter at the time. Kohli has since removed the like from the post.Amid the growing online noise, Ameesha Patel was asked about the incident by paparazzi when she was spotted in Mumbai. Initially unaware of the situation, she brushed off the controversy once it was explained to her, questioning the outrage around it. “Like karna kuch paap hai kya? Unki life, unka Instagram, unki marzi. Logon ko bas troll karna hi aata hai. Aur koi kaam dhanda hi nahi hai. Acchi baat hai kisi ke acche kaam ko like karna. Troll karna paap hai, kisi ko like karna nahi,” she said. Her remarks resonated with many, as she called out the tendency to overanalyse trivial social media actions.Even though the like has since been removed, the episode continues to fuel conversations online, underscoring how even minor digital interactions by public figures can quickly snowball into major debates.
