Aishwarya Khare gets real about preparing to play a doctor on ‘Dr. Aarambhi’; says 'I worked on medical terms, hospital etiquette, and even how a doctor carries herself'

‘Dr. Aarambhi’ has made its way into the hearts of the viewers with its empowering saga of a homemaker reclaiming her identity and pursuing a career as a doctor. Starring in the title role, Aishwarya Khare has been winning praise for her impeccable performance as a betrayed wife, fierce mother and a woman determined to rise above her circumstances. Aishwarya reveals she has stepped beyond the script for her character of Dr. Aarambhi. The actress has immersed herself in real-world experiences by interacting closely with practicing doctors to do complete justice to the role.Talking about her preparation for ‘Dr. Aarambhi’, Aishwarya Khare says, “From day one, this felt like a responsibility more than just a role. I met real woman doctors and heard stories about sacrificing opportunities, managing night shifts, and still holding their families together. Many of them said they constantly have to prove themselves at work and at home, and those conversations shaped how I approached Aarambhi. I worked on medical terms, hospital etiquette, and even how a doctor carries herself, but the biggest preparation was emotional, showing her journey from giving up her identity to reclaiming it.” She added, “I genuinely feel television is changing, the audiences are evolving and the protagonists of shows are evolving too. That’s largely why authenticity is non-negotiable. We’ve been mindful of that with Dr. Aarambhi. I’m delighted that all the hard work has paid off. And the best thing is that now my father keeps joking, ‘Chalo, beti doctor ban gayi,’ which makes this role even more special for me.”
