Shekhar praised the film’s storytelling and performances, while also expressing excitement for the sequel. Responding to a fan who commented on how rare it is for a first installment to feel complete while still setting up a sequel — “It is rare for a ‘Part 1’ to stand on its own while setting up a ‘Part 2.’ Usually, they feel incomplete. Clarifying the reason, Shekhar explained, “I wish I had .. but it want available in theatres where I am.” He further added, “I am in Dubai where it did not release.” When asked if he would watch Dhurandhar 2 on the big screen, he responded, “If it releases where I am.”For context, Dhurandhar was banned in six Gulf nations — Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE — which prevented its theatrical release in the region.
