APPGECET 2026 results declared; 93.29 per cent candidates qualify for engineering and pharmacy PG admissions

APPGECET 2026 results: Andhra University has released the APPGECET 2026 results for admissions to postgraduate engineering, pharmacy and technology courses in Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education entrusted the university with conducting the examination this year. Results and rank cards have been made available on the official portal.A total of 12,102 candidates registered for APPGECET 2026, while 9,990 appeared for the examination conducted between April 28 and April 30, 2026. Out of those who appeared, 9,320 qualified, taking the overall pass percentage to 93.29 per cent. The examination was held in six sessions across 26 test centres in Andhra Pradesh.Computer science records highest qualified candidatesComputer Science Engineering recorded the highest number of qualified candidates among all branches. Out of 3,047 candidates who appeared in the stream, 2,977 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 97.70 per cent.Pharmacy registered the second-highest participation with 3,770 candidates appearing and 3,465 qualifying. Civil Engineering saw 725 candidates qualify from 786 appearances, while Electronics and Communication Engineering recorded 883 qualified candidates from 1,031 appearances.Food Technology reported a 100 per cent pass rate, with all 36 appearing candidates qualifying. Biotechnology achieved a 98.04 per cent pass percentage, while Geo-Engineering and Geo Informatics recorded 97.62 per cent.Female candidates outperform male candidatesAmong male candidates, 4,464 appeared and 4,144 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 92.83 per cent. Female candidates recorded a slightly higher pass percentage of 93.67 per cent, with 5,176 qualifying out of 5,526 appearances.In Computer Science Engineering, female candidates achieved a pass percentage of 98.29 per cent, compared to 97.17 per cent among male candidates. In Civil Engineering, female candidates recorded 94.37 per cent, higher than the 91.04 per cent secured by male candidates.Regional centres maintain strong pass percentagesKuppam centre recorded the highest regional pass percentage at 96.30 per cent. Rajahmundry followed with 94.77 per cent, while Kurnool registered 94.27 per cent. Chittoor recorded 95.80 per cent and Tirupathi secured 94 per cent.Visakhapatnam had the highest number of candidates appearing for the examination, with 1,545 candidates taking the test and 1,447 qualifying. Vijayawada recorded 897 qualified candidates, while Guntur registered 1,073 successful candidates.According to the APPGECET 2026 office at Andhra University College of Engineering, the examination process was completed successfully under the supervision of Vice-Chancellor Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar and Convener Prof. Pasumarathi Mallikarjuna Rao. Education Minister Nara Lokesh released the results and congratulated qualified candidates.
