In a video shared by ANI, a visibly emotional Chandrasekhar got choked up, saying simply, “I am happy… I am so, so happy.” When asked whether he had once harboured political ambitions of his own, he was quick to dismiss the idea: “No, no, no. I never…Whatever I am doing, only for my son.”On the Tamil people’s role in delivering this victory, he said, “Finally, Tamil people have succeeded…through Vijay.” His parting advice for the new chief minister was equally simple and heartfelt, “Do everything for Tamilians.” He then folded his hands and asked to leave.

Vijay’s final film, ‘Jana Nayagan’, also remains unreleased due to issues with the CBFC. Despite it all, Vijay has arrived, and Tamil Nadu is watching. The movie is now expected to hit theatres in June 2026.
