Johnny Knoxville on ‘Jackass: Best and Last’ finale: ‘We're going out on our terms’

Actor Johnny Knoxville is all about continuing his legacy and doing ‘dumb’ things with his friends. The star, who is best known for his work in the ‘Jackass’ franchise, is looking forward to doing silly things in the future. Talking about the franchise and how his life has been, Knoxville weighed in on a lot of things, including how he has been feeling ahead of the release of the final film in the franchise

Johnny Knoxville talks about the last ‘Jackass’ movie he did

The final film in the ‘Jackass’ franchise, titled ‘Jackass: Best and Last’ is slated for release in theatres worldwide on June 26. Ahead of the film’s release, while talking to PEOPLE, the famed actor who has been a part of the films since the get-go weighed in on how ‘sad’ he feels over the entire situation. For more than two decades, the actor was attached to the franchise, and over the years, the films have ended up meaning a lot to him.While attending the Netflix Is a Joke’s of Too Many Stars festival, he shared that “You know, I spent most of my adult life doing really dumb things with my friends.” While the actor is aware that this can continue to happen, “It just won’t be on the movie screen,” he quipped, expressing how sad he was at the end of an era. He also added that the film series was something he and his friends “created” all those years ago, and as the journey is finally ending, he stated that “we’re going out on our terms.”

The upcoming film was confirmed to be the final installment of the franchise in February by Knoxville himself during an interview with The Rolling Stone. The film, which is slated for release on June 26, will reunite Knoxville with most of the original cast members from the 2000s show, including Steve-O, Dave England, Wee Man, Chris Pontius, and Preston Lacy.The film will consist of old stunts, new stunts, never-before-released footage, compilation of skits, and pranks, along with on-set talking heads with its cast. The upcoming film pays ode to the franchise and acts as a final goodbye for the fans.
