UPSSSC recruitment 2026: Registration for 929 ASO, ARO posts ends soon; check selection process, direct link to apply

UPSSSC recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) will soon close the registration process for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website at upsssc.gov.in.According to the official notification, the last date to submit the online application form and pay the application fee is May 11, 2026. Candidates will also be allowed to make corrections in their submitted application forms till May 18, 2026.The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 929 vacancies for ASO and ARO posts across various departments in Uttar Pradesh.

UPSSSC recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria

Candidates applying for the recruitment process must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 conducted by UPSSSC. Only candidates with a valid PET score will be considered for shortlisting.For educational qualification, applicants should possess a postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or related subjects from a recognised university.Candidates should also have basic computer knowledge along with proficiency in Hindi written in Devanagari script.Age limitAs per the notification, candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age. Reserved category candidates will be eligible for age relaxation according to government rules.

Application fee

The application fee for all categories is Rs 25. Candidates can make the payment through debit card, credit card, internet banking, or UPI.

Selection process

The selection process will be based on a written examination. Only candidates shortlisted on the basis of their PET 2025 scores will be eligible to appear for the main examination.The written test will consist of objective-type questions carrying a total of 100 marks.
